The Blackout map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be added to Call of Duty: Mobile on September 22nd. In a statement, Activision, the publisher of the popular battle royale game, stated that the new map would be released as part of an update that will also include CODM’s Season 8.
This was the very first and largest map ever created for the Call of Duty franchise, and it was also the most difficult to create. It would have “iconic series locales spread across a wide terrain that will be completely recreated for mobile gaming.” Activision will also introduce new maps to Blackout for Call of Duty: Mobile, including Hijacked and Ghost Town, according to a press release.
The Blackout map was first featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and its inclusion in Call of Duty: Mobile will add a new dimension to the game. Among other things, Activision stated in a blog post that Blackout for Call of Duty: Mobile has several allusions to classic locales from the Black Ops world such as Nuketown, Ghost Town Estate, and Construction Site.
According to Activision, several sections are “essentially similar” to their respective multiplayer counterparts. According to the firm, this will improve the overall battle royale experience in the game. In addition, a new tournament set for the Blackout map will be released.
The next update, which is scheduled to be released at 5 p.m. PT on September 22 (5.30 a.m. IST on September 23), will commemorate the game’s second anniversary, which will be marked by a series of events that will begin later this week. For the Blackout map, there will be three events: the Anniversary Cake event, the Anniversary Puzzle event, and the Counterattack event. During these events, players will have the opportunity to win 50 new Battle Pass tiers.
As previously stated, Activision has stated that Season 8 will include new content in both the free and premium categories. In the game, there will be new characters such as Alias — Battleworm and Velikan — Volcanic Ash, as well as returning characters. Along with the R9-0 shotgun, which will be available for usage on the Blackout level, the game will have new functional weapons, including the R9-0 assault rifle.
In addition, the M13 assault weapon, a new Scorestreak, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Charms, and Call of Duty Points will all be available in the next Season 2. However, Activision has stated that all of this would be revealed later in the game.
Activision stated that the upcoming update would include improved aesthetic upgrades to the game in addition to adding new features to the game. There will be a new looting system, as well as an enhanced health and armor system, as well as better UI components for vehicles. Season 8 will also bring with it a more user-friendly crash map for gamers.
