Earlier this month, Apple announced the launch of a revamped MacBook Pro range, which would include a new 14-inch and a new 16-inch model powered by the Apple Silicon M1X processor on October 18. According to several speculations and leaks, Apple is planning to add a notch to its laptops in the same way that it does on the iPhone.
It is currently anticipated that the display on the next MacBook Pro will feature a notch in the same manner as the iPhone X in order to provide a greater screen-to-body ratio. The Weibo account AnyTurtle999 posted a purported photo of an Apple MacBook Pro with a notch at the top of the display today, seemingly in response to an unconfirmed report that the upcoming MacBook Pro models will include a notch at the top of the display.

There is speculation that the new MacBook Pros will have exceptionally thin bezels; the original source notes ‘thinner bezels’ among a long list of other possible modifications for the computers, with the notch required to accommodate the webcam.
According to a number of reports, the next MacBooks will have mini-LED screens with considerably finer lighting zones and the ability to reach 1000 nits of brightness, compared to the current generation. A 120Hz refresh rate is also expected to be included in at least one of the two Pro versions, according to individuals who claim to be familiar with the panel’s real manufacturing process.
It is rumored that a new, virtually borderless display design with squared-off borders, similar to the present iPad and iPhone look, is in the works. A 1080p camera with a TrueTone sensor, as well as a microphone is expected to be housed within the notch, according to sources. A face recognition system, which was also expected to be included in the notch, does not appear to be occurring.
Other predicted specifications of the next MacBook are also included in the leaked information. These include the new mini-LED screens, ProMotion, as well as a fresh design and an increase in the number of ports. Additionally, a 1080p camera and a keyboard that is completely black are included.
In a virtual event scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, Apple is expected to highlight new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models equipped with a speedier version of the M1 processor and brighter mini-LED screens, according to widespread speculation. Additionally, an HDMI connector, an SD card reader, and a magnetic power cord are likely to be included with the laptops.
