According to Apple, “regulatory requirements in India apply to the processing of recurring transactions. If you hold an Indian debit or credit card and you have a subscription, these changes impact your transactions.” “To continue enjoying your subscriptions, you can pay with your Apple ID balance,” the business adds. - Net banking (adding funds only)
- UPI (adding funds only)
Apple users must now set up an additional payment option in addition to their credit and debit cards. As previously stated, they can maintain their Apple App Store memberships using Apple ID Balance and add monies to their Apple ID via net banking or UPI. While this may cause some annoyance for users, it is critical for businesses to meet the Reserve Bank of India’s criteria in order to operate in the country.
